So tired of items listed as FREE! then popping up a order now for $$$$ page, that I want to start giving FREE items and then offer something else for sale, that type of sparge is rampant on the ‘net. It is also called “bait and switch” which is illegal.
Just my thoughts.

There’s an irony and refreshment in your video. The refreshment is in your honesty, but the sad irony is that it’s unique to be honest. Thank you for doing that.
As a teacher with forty-eight years in the classroom, half in public schools, half in Christian schools, I see the daily degradation of thinking skills and positive behavior. My passion continues to be the acquisition of what I call “Radical Excellence,” which is the title of my own self-published book. This concept of Radical Excellence is simply defined as the production of true excellence in whatever we do by returning to traditional values (honesty, responsibility, integrity, etc.)
Thank you for illustrating that concept.
By the way, I have been in the process of growing up in the Internet business by being an avid learner from Eric’s video series on his site. His participation in the Real Guys system gave you immediate credibility, at least in my mind.
I know this lengthens this post, and obviously you can edit it out, but I’d like to share an ominous syndrome that I’m experiencing.
First of all, I’m sitting on what I consider massive amounts of material that I’ve produced over the years. Multiple potential niches are covered in that material. (Christian school leadership, creative teaching, the pro-active use of the mind in golf, effective homeschooling, how to be a good student, etc.) These are focused on initially on my main site http://education-for-excellence.com and represent a jumping-off point for a series of sites that I will call “Radical Excellence for Students” and Radical Excellence for… and so on.
Here’s the crux of my multi-pronged problem; I’ve got all these writings and “almost” products, even one about how to make money online, yet so little time. Oh, not much time and literally no money! You see three years ago my wife and I lost our jobs on the last day of school because of economic problems in the small Christian school where we both worked. God did provide (literally) employment for me back in the public school system, but our income was reduced significantly, thus my Internet business is in slow growth mode. My goal is to be able to retire someday, but I’d like to be making around $3000 per month from my online efforts when that occurs. You see, a couple of the downsides of teaching in a Christian school are the almost universal lack of retirement system and extremely low salaries.
Anyway, here’s the blunt question… any hints on how to take all the raw material I’ve got and flesh it into reality, especially keeping the “time and money” syndrome in mind?

All is good though… Wouldn’t trade working with partners like Eric Holmlund and Paul counts for the world… even if it means I have to have Paul’s picture show up

I, too, have had a lot of experience with marketing and income ups and downs. Inconsistency is a real bummer.
I am newly back in IM after being away for a few years, with 2 new sites – one catering to IMers and the other to Info Seekers generally.
PLR can be a great thing if, as you said, you can rework it AND add not only your own slant, but also truly ‘improve’ on the original product, while doing it with honesty and integrity. There have also been instances where a notable ‘guru’ totally messed up, and I will never buy from her again.

Paul and Eric I just want to tell each of you as we go into this together what a priviledge and an honor it is to be working with both of you.

It’s good to see someone who is telling it like it is and not trying to push people away from the most profitable niche online. It’s also good that you point out how people can get into this niche and maintain integrity.
However, I’m not completely sold on the idea of “focusing” on product creation. In my own business, I’ve spent TOO MUCH time focusing on creating my own products, and I can tell you that this isn’t good for the bank account. You have to FOCUS on marketing, and let product creation happen in the background.
